Thank you all for coming to visit our brand spanking new blog.

As for MicKarFreedom (aka. Michael D. and Kari S. we are proud to be a part of the web community. This initial entry to our blog promises to be one of many informative and exciting pages. For a start, we will begin describing how we are doing with our site, and more importantly sharing the resources we have collected along the way.

Now, On to the Good Stuff!

Our first decision was what to name this endeavor of ours. After some bantering we decided on MicKarFreedom. Now while it is not absolutely necessary to buy up ‘real estate’ in the .com dance, it can certainly help one to decide what direction to go in. Ultimately this process brought us to purchasing multiple domains. Seems like a lot, but actually it is going to help us in the long run. Each one will now be designated for a purpose or branch of our organization. It also is an assurance that no one else will grab our name out from under us. Our next decision was to find a web-hosting company. By comparing different sources we came to settle on HostGator. So far their service has been fantastic and for fairly new webmaster’s, they certainly give a lot of resources. We have had fun searching through the comprehensive video training. There is certainly a lot to learn from them.

Each time we look back upon this process we realize the importance of planning. So to help solve that and organize our thoughts and ideas, we decided to begin this blog. You see, by sharing with the community, we look forward to feedback. That can be good for everyone. We will be starting a forum in the near future. Obviously the forum will be named MicKarFreedom Forums. We’re considering using PHPbb, but then again, who knows just now. We’re still exploring!

We have worked out the bugs in the Authors Library and let me say, thus far it has been an adventure. The support that we have gotten from our resource providers has been awesome Once we launch our .net we will post it here for the world to see.
