About The Author

I (Michael Derowin) am writing this from personal experience and the knowledge, I have read and have had explained to me. The information about Multiple Sclerosis has come from my Neurologist, pamphlets provided at the Hospital and The M.S. Society. Other patients experiences came from talking with them in the workshops that I have attended.

The Multiple Sclerosis Society has been and is still a great place for support and help. They have a small Library of help books they lend to M.S. patients. There are Programs in place which you can join and participate in like Yoga, Tia Chi, and Bowling for little to no cost.

I have lived with Multiple Sclerosis for the last 7 years since being Diagnosed. I have gone from Relapse/Remittance stage to Secondary Progressive with out slowing down.

My way of transportation is by wheelchair or scooter as my legs do not operate as they could anymore. I have taken sometime to get used to not walking and riding a wheelchair. What a shock to my system that was to me since it happened over a 6 month period. Something I did not want to admit or accept under any circumstance.

I was born 12/13/1959 in Calgary, AB, Canada into a family of eleven. We had good and bad times like most big families while growing up together. Supporting each other in everything we did and consoled each other when it did not work out. I left High School in Grade 11 wanting to be in the working population.

My family is supporting everything that I am attempting to accomplish concerning my M.S. and Business. For this I wish to thank them all.
